Yeah.
I think there's always something I almost want to address this elephant in the room.
Every time we do a true crime case, there's something unnerving about seeing what's going to happen to anybody, right?
True crime is always kind of that weird, macabre, morbid fascination kind of thing.
But to see people just living a normal life again, it reminds you that this is just a regular person, that any of this stuff could befall anyone.
Not to put fear out there, but it just like, I want to kind of tap into that feeling for a second because it's hard to cover these cases for five and a half years and not like really start to grapple with like the emotions of these cases, you know?
Yeah.
Right.
And so, like you said, sometimes it's about the intricacy of the mystery at hand.
How did things unfold?
What got it to this point?
And sometimes it's morbidly about...
What can anyone glean from what happened and almost providing like a cautionary tale as to like how this could happen to anybody.
So keep your wits about you sort of thing and but also to be aware of ongoing cases and if you see anything to be able to speak up about it.
Now, prior to her disappearance in California, it is worth mentioning that Walters was born and raised in Deerfield, Wisconsin.
She went to attend the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and studied botany and ethnobotany, which is a really interesting kind of spin-off of botany.
It is basically the scientific study of the relationships between people and plants.
Culturally and throughout the years, how plants have been used for medicine, psychoactive elements and many other things.
And I think this is important given that this is her interest.
I want to flag this because of where we're going.
