I mean, it is, when anyone goes disappearing, it's so this could happen to anyone kind of energy. It's terrifying. Yeah. But this being relatively recent, 2008, one of our more recent cases is kind of like blurring that line that we kind of draw. Despite it being relatively recent, it has a lot of unknowns. To the point that one of the key elements of the timeline is actually, depending on the source, disagreeable on where she was found before she finally disappeared. So it is definitely one of those darker cases with some interesting theories behind it.
But otherwise, this is definitely going to be one of those cautionary tales.
What makes this, at least initially right now, interesting is the fact that it's a case in the modern day, especially like 2008 with technologies, you know, it's progressed a substantial amount at that point, even in 2008 and having little to no evidence on a disappearance.

I feel like as technology grows, when you have all these surveillancing and everything is listening and you retract wherever you are with any device you have, et cetera, being able to disappear in itself is difficult. And so initially right now, in my mind, that's what makes this interesting. Not necessarily what happened, but how were they able to leave without a trace?
Yeah. Yeah. There are. You're right. 2008 is a really interesting time because, you know, smartphones are already all over the place. This for me was like late high school, mid high school. And by that point, touch screen phones were really starting to come online. And so everyone kind of had a camera in their pocket. CCTV has definitely expanded exponentially. But I do think in quieter, smaller, sleepier towns, those have yet to crop up at this time. Right. But I think you're right, especially when looking with a more modern lens, it is relatively difficult. If you or I went running off or something happened, whatever, like you said, there is what happened and the motivation behind this disappearance, and we'll talk about that, but there's also how, the logistics.
So if you or I, whatever the motivation was, were to just run down the street and off into God knows where, we would be tracked by every door camera, every CCTV in the city, and then whatever these new... law enforcement cameras are that they plop up everywhere. Have you heard about those? No, I haven't. Are you talking about flock cameras? Flock cameras, that's it. That's what they're called. Oh, for birds. Yeah, yeah.
It's for advanced bird watching, you know. You gotta track the migrations.
