Yeah, uh right in the in between uh 300 episodes is a massive milestone. Uh we've done a lot of those independent as well. Resounding thank you, Task Force, so much. We we keep doing it, you keep supporting, and episode 300 is absolutely wild.
It's hard to comprehend. I if I'm honest with myself, I told the guys right before we started recording, I was like, This is two hundred and ninety nine more episodes than I could have hoped for. We did the pilot episode on Cicada 3301 that really started it all. And then we did like City Quiet Pills with I mean, which launched the fire that is everything that we've done since. But uh 300 episodes, a lot has changed. We've grown a lot. And I think you're right, with age, we we get a little bit closer to the ghosts. Maybe we can feel them more now that we're just an inch closer to death. But still far from it, I hope. But 300 episodes. So today we're gonna celebrate big. We're gonna talk about four of the most haunting alien abduction stories, the ones that have the most detail, the most nuance.
And with the exploration of these four stories, then we're going to then take a huge step back, right? We're gonna look at the commonalities that really run the gambit through most alien abductions. We talk about getting Tossed off into a Wendy's are slacks in the tree and you know, probing and everything. But is there something else going on here? I love to give a deeper analysis. Like, of course, you want to suspend disbelief, you want to believe that a thicked-up alien could take you home and meet the parents. But today it we've got a lot of interesting theories that really might help us understand why alien abduction stories feel like a cornerstone of the Zeitgeist and maybe give us a deeper appreciation for what people are actually going through.
Of course we don't have full 100% bulletproof answers, but it's gonna be an interesting exploration.
I mean I'd like to think that it's real and you know, icing on the cake if it's thicked up aliens abducting us. Mm. Keep talking about it. And I just keep wandering the streets at late at night. Because what is the what is the alternative, right? The government's abducting you and playing with your butthole? Like come on. I'm also like, I mean alien abductions is such a huge thing and and I really wanna see if there's any ground to stand on. What uh what is the evidence?
Mm-hmm.
Are there similarities between different abductions?
Mm-hmm.
Because I don't know then, right? Because are we a if there's similarities and I guess you could say we're being abducted by the same you can't really narrow it down if it's like the same alien species or not. Because if it's different, is it a different alien species or they're just trying something new? Or
maybe a different government, you know, Canada goes after you in a different way. It really could be. How do we think about that?
