Randall being able to hit tough shots in the mid-range was why the Wolves were able to pull this one off.
Going small was a great move, but it doesn't work if Randall's not able to shoot over the top of whatever defender, Wemby included.
Not to mention the little Gortat screens he was setting.
Wemby was a little bit neutralized in the fourth quarter, whether it was because Reed was spaced to the corner, so Wemby's got to be towards the weak side, not really involved in the play, or when he was closer to the play, Randall just putting his booty down.
into his knees and not letting him really get any sort of runway to challenge at the rim.
So I thought Randall really brought it in the fourth quarter.
And he kind of like struggled through the first half of the game, but he really turned it on and came up in the clutch.
Like Mike Conley outplayed De'Aaron Fox.
Nobody expected Ant to come back.
Like these are things that are going in favor of the Timberwolves.
Like you're saying, Wemby struggled through this game.
He did not have a good offensive game, five for 17.
So you got to win this one, especially like the opportunity is there on the road.
And now you have home court advantage.
You have experience.
You have to think that Ant's going to get better as the series went on, because I thought he was basically a decoy last night, an 18 point decoy.
per game, decoy, which is pretty awesome.
But he's not bringing the ball up the court.
He doesn't look quite the same driving to the hoop.
He got his shot blocked by a guard at the rim.
