So I was really getting constant feedback from client base and being able to bounce ideas off of them.
It let me be able to...
to pull more value into the product right so it started off as like a hey you know this is a check the box we know we need this so let's just check the box but then you know that feedback loop of talking to the customers and then thinking about product led us to for example a conclusion where hey actually the analytics here are really valuable right like when somebody is saying you know where can i buy your product
near me in Portland, Oregon, and you're getting 7,000 searches like that a month, and the answer is nowhere, that's actually really actionable information.
You should probably find distribution in Portland, Oregon.
And that should be surfaced and something that
you know, a marketing person can use, you know, in concert with other tools to look for opportunities and alerts should be notifying you that, hey, for some reason you're blowing up in Switzerland and, you know, you really should find a way to actively market there.
And so we found those bits of value and pulled those into the product and then, you know,
I was able to really hugely increase the average revenue per customer by adding more and more value there.
But it was mostly a feedback loop of talking to the customer base, essentially.
Yeah, I mean, well, so it was, I think it was a 14-day free trial with a credit card up front.
So, you know, those are the, obviously, you know, for calibrating your metrics, some of those things matter quite a bit.
So, obviously, putting the credit card up front.
Yeah, and it, well, it may or may not be the right decision, right?
But it certainly is going to make your free trial to paid conversion a higher number, right?
Whether or not it, you know, on net is beneficial is something to be tested.
But
Um, that, that's definitely part of it, right?
I don't know that we would have anywhere near that if we had a open free trial or we had a freemium plan or something like that.
Um, but you know, I think, um, I, I, I do think there's a huge amount of low hanging fruit in, in the onboarding process for, for most products.
