And so people say, oh yeah, I've got a great conversion rate of like 6%.
To me, that's like a horrifically leaky bucket, right?
You're a bootstrapper.
You don't have the time and energy to bring in thousands and thousands of customers.
You want 10 free trials.
You want seven customers coming out the other side and you want to keep them forever.
And so that was kind of my focus all along was being very, very,
I totally agree.
I think it's highly repeatable.
I agree with, um, like each element of that is, is something that is kind of worth breaking down, right?
It's, it is about, you know, so we were pretty early on Shopify.
Well, I was, I was in the app store, you know, when we launched store locator app, it was the first one, you know, in there.
So we just got a hundred percent of the, of the sort of traffic from that.
And we were able to sort of pick the foot.
Yeah.
They probably only launched the app store in like 2012.
I'm not totally sure about that, but I mean, it was, it was sparse, you know, in nowadays when you go and you type anything in, you get, you know, 72 results.
Um, you know, just being early onto a growing platform is, is definitely, um, you know, a viable strategy.
And then, yeah, I think just being able to deeply understand a customer base, you know, even through that period, I was still in that period, let's say, you know, from 2k to 7k to something like that, I was still freelancing, um,
So I was still working probably 20 to 40 hours a week as a Shopify-focused Rails developer.
