So Ruth McGowan in the Abbey, she had been kind of nursing the play for two years with me and we did workshops and all sorts of things.
And so I was able to say to her, you know, I'm a little unsure about how, what my role will be in the room.
And I'd like the play not to be like, you know, torn apart when it gets into the room.
Like I'd like there to be, you know, if we make a decision about changing text or lines and,
That it's done, you know, not on the fly, but like we have a process, which we do have.
Because that kind of protects you.
Because sometimes if people are... If the room is struggling with a scene and they won't think change is made, the first place, the easiest place to make the change is on the script.
But then as a playwright, you're kind of going, but I...
pretty sure this works, you know?
So that was the, that was kind of the main anxiety for me going in.
And that has been, I've been absolutely, totally minded and looked after in that respect.
So that's been brilliant.
I mean, I was as surprised as anybody.
I mean, yes, it was really scary because it was lockdown and I hadn't left the house in a year.
Yeah, I know.
