There's going to be an attempt here.

And maybe in his head, he thinks commandeering control of Iranian oil means he controls oil, Venezuela, oil in Iran.

And then somehow that might give him leverage with China.

I kind of think that's wishful thinking, but it may be a strategy they think they're pursuing at the moment.

But I do think this, if you think, what should you believe?

Do you believe that he is trying to find a way out of this?

If there was an easy way out, I think he already have found that exit ramp and would have left.

Or do you follow what they're doing, not what they're saying and what they're doing?

appears to be a preparation for escalation.

And at some point, the economy and traders and the markets are going to end up accepting reality.

They're desperate not to accept reality and any kind of breadcrumb he drops to be used as an excuse to say, well, maybe this isn't going to be as catastrophic as we thought.

Traders have grabbed onto it.

But when you start to look at these other fundamentals, right, consumers are already changing their behavior.
