And the TV show three body problem, I think, are the ones that best.
I think that, you know, in many ways, contact was based on sort of Carl Sagan theories.

I am I find myself in that camp where I.
aliens are just going to show up one day we're going to get years in advance and sort of see this coming um the question is do we see it coming in time and are they benevolent or malevolent all right but i'm with you i with you i think all of the chatter is it's sort of self-fulfilling right because the government's released a few more details
More people ask people that used to be in government about it, and more people that used to be in government feel more comfortable talking about it.
But they don't have any more information, really, than any of us ever did.

He says, Hey, I understand your point that you can't win a race to the bottom.
And I generally agree with your approach, but I sometimes wonder if what we're seeing now feels less like a race and more like a survival moment politically.
If one side feels like the rules are being rewritten, is it still possible to play by the old rules and complete and compete effectively?
At what point does the old playbook stop working and something else become necessary?
