And I think being in a smaller town, it was a smaller supermarket, so there was no four-hour shifts or anything like that where they probably would have been in a metro setting.

So it was like eight-hour days.

And so then, of course, payday came around and I was like, oh, my God, money.

This is so good.

It was an IGA, yes.

Yeah, so I think just having that money on payday, I was like, oh, my God, this is so good.

Why am I even going to school?

I just hate it and don't want to be there.

I could be at work earning money.

And I spoke to mum and dad about it and I was like, I just don't want to be at school.

I'm not good at it.

Like I was terrible at maths, which is kind of ironic now because I'm a nurse.

And you're also on a money podcast.

Yeah, I was just terrible at it.

And I didn't have the attention span, couldn't sit still.

I was just like, I just want to go to work, work hard, fill in the day, get paid, go home.

But yeah, I think that drive for money, the minute school holidays came around, I was like, guys, I'm available.

Give me some extra shifts and just anything that you've got, I'll take it.

Very, very blessed that mom and dad was still able to drive me to all of that around their work schedules.
