The public transport sucks.
There was none.
There was none in the town that I lived.
So that was definitely the worst part.
Dad had his own plumbing business and mum worked in healthcare but sort of in the office admin side of things.
And so they like worked in dad's business but then also would buy cheap houses around the area that we lived which probably cost, you know, five cents in the scheme of things now.
But then they were absolute dumps and they would renovate them and flip them for either like an investment property or then sell it.
And so I think watching them do that for years was kind of like, oh, there's money in this, like property is worth money or it can be, you know, if you buy the right things.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And so, yeah, I was at work and then I would come home from my supermarket job and help out with their renovations and just odd jobs like mow the lawn and that kind of thing.
While they were busy, they wouldn't get time to do.
So I felt like I was always busy.
And then I think it was when I went into later years of high school, everyone was like, you have to pick a uni degree.
And I was like, oh.
That doesn't really sound exciting.
And I spoke to a few people about it and they're like, oh, you know, don't rush the decision.
But I think that pressure from school was always like, you have to have something lined up.
And I know the school I went to was very big on like their success rates, I suppose you'd say.
