Imagine being the executives at eBay and you're just like, do, do, do, get your morning coffee.

Ooh.

Oh, okay.

We're dealing with a takeover.

It's not something that happens behind closed doors.

You have to almost defend your business to your shareholders.

But if we had been, I don't know, on holiday every week and like...

you know, growth was really sluggish and the content was shit, then you do piss off a few shareholders.

And then they're, you know, they're like, you know what, actually screw you guys.

You haven't been delivering on what you said you're going to do.

We want to do this take, we want to accept this takeover offer.

And so that's why like there's hostile and then there's

like friendly.

And friendly is when you approach the executives and you're like, hey, we want to do this.

And they're like, you know what?

It's actually a really good deal.

I think these businesses combined would be great together.

And they kind of give their blessing to shareholders to accept it.

Whereas this is very hostile.

This is like, what the fuck?
