GameStop is a $12 billion company and eBay is a $45 billion company.
Yeah, it's like the corner dairy trying to buy the supermarket.
They'd be like, um.
But it can happen, right?
So like they are offering to pay eBay shareholders nearly 50% higher than what the share price is right now.
So if you were sitting there as an eBay shareholder, you're probably like, you know what?
And half of that, so that's $125 a share.
Half of that, they're like, here, Sophie, you can take half of that in cash and half of it will become GameStop stock.
And then you can decide whether you want to sell that stock at a later date or keep it.
If you've got eBay in there with GameStop, you might be like, actually, it's quite a good deal and I want to keep my shares.
But you get half cash.
And so part of it's with debt.
And they've got about $9 billion on their balance sheet, GameStop.
And the rest is from a bank.
So the rest is debt.
So they've got the money.
