And what's the prevailing market price right now?
Something like 40 or 50 bucks?
yes okay um let me ask you a big picture question about uh energy production around the planet uh you know obviously president trump was elected uh to help restore the american economy and that definitely includes the american energy industry but one of the things um we've been talking about here and that i'm aware of is that the american energy industry isn't always thrilled with president trump they love that he's kicking all the regulation out of the way but they sometimes they there's a sweet spot for oil prices they kind of they want the oil prices to be just high enough that they're getting good profits out of it
But President Trump has been encouraging other countries, including Arab countries in the Middle East, to produce more oil.
It seems that, from my perspective, that he's trying to get as much energy generated around the planet as possible because he thinks that's going to be an economic engine for the world.
What is your view on this subject, Secretary Wright?
What is President Trump's mission here?
So Vince, you said it just right.
No, it doesn't sound radical at all.
But that kind of nuance, I think, needs to be heard because it so rarely is.
So one other big picture question, and thank you, Secretary Wright, for being here with us on American energy.
One of the things that we constantly hear talked about in local communities all across the country is when new things are being built that require energy, like data centers, for instance, it always creates a panic that we don't have enough energy.
We don't have enough energy.
How do we energize all of this?
My impression is that President Trump is trying to encourage a lot of these companies to generate their own power plants.
Like a lot of companies just basically create their own power and then put their excess power back on the grid, including things like micronuclear, like have power that these companies are generating.
But I'm worried that our grid can't support the power that we need.
What's the current state of play?
How are things right now?
Now, you set it up correctly, Vince.
