Because that's a bit of a minefield that I may not have navigated yet.
I guess that's been on my mind, just how to do that, how to maintain this sample-based approach because it's one of the most exciting, is I think for me possibly the most exciting part of making this courtier music is the spark from collecting these crazy records and finding bits and pieces and watching them have these glorious little meetings sometimes and then pushing and prodding them and adding my own ideas to make these songs.
So I hope I can do that while hopefully just saving myself a lot of headache before I release another record.
Well, in a way, I guess, look, some of the people I've played today, I guess, like Josh Pike and the boys from Carnival, I've got to know personally over the last year, which has been really great.
And I've been quite surprised.
I mean, you said you were sort of surprised by some of my choices and perhaps my taste picking songs today.
But I was quite surprised and very flattered that those guys seem to be, you know, sort of fans of what I'm doing musically.
Actually, going back to Carnival, I went to see them play a show at the Hi-Fi Bar in Melbourne.
And like I said, kind of felt like I was maybe reconnecting with this sort of this flow of energy that heavy music can give you that I felt I hadn't really connected with for a while.
And they were playing my album from start to finish before they're set every night at their shows.
I was kind of a bit freaked out.
So yeah, hey, potential collaborators there.
Yeah, people whose music I really respect and who I'd love to maybe get into a jam room with and see if there can be maybe some more human elements or played parts on another Gautier record.
I haven't listened to their whole record, I think, start to finish.
Maybe I've heard bits and pieces, but I just seem to have seen the presets so many places in the last year.
