And then I see other cabinet ministers on the airwaves saying, oh, the cabinet's united.
There were no dissenting voices.
And Jenny Chapman even said, oh, and Wes Streeting was just talking about the health service impacts of Iran.
Like, you know, there were no dissenting voices.
And I thought that is such a misrepresentation of the reality.
And I didn't dissent offer a dissenting voice in that meeting because I knew that the right thing to do was to have a one to one conversation.
I would have felt more comfortable doing that.
And we did have the serious issues of Iran to discuss.
I had no problem with that.
I did have a problem with the misrepresentation.
Deep down, that's what you sound like.
The culture is bad.
The culture is bad on a number of levels.
And I thought actually the Mandelson papers showed a glimpse of that this week because putting to one side the important issues around his appointment and Epstein and the victims and the heart of that scandal.
There were fascinating insights into discussions inside government about trade policy, about tech policy.
And what was revealing and consistent about those discussions was the total absence of women, not a single woman involved.
In fact, there was a rep for reference to a woman involved.
which was how to manage her.
And that woman was the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the most powerful woman in the country.
So I thought, well, and I don't mean this unkindly about the men involved in the conversation.
