It was a company called GotCast.

We actually did casting for television on the internet.

Yeah, it was a total fluke, but that's actually what brought me to Los Angeles, which kind of like put me in California for the last 10 years.

A guy that worked with me on another one of my startups went to Los Angeles, became a talent agent out there,

I'm out there having a cocktail with him in LA and we're just talking.

And he said, yeah, man, I'm getting put in charge of this new department that we're spitting up and it's called unscripted television.

And it's for shows that don't actually have like a traditional script.

He was at the time with Abrams artist agency.

I don't know who he's with now.

Yeah.

And it was, again, it was what was going to become reality television.

And, uh, so I was like, listen, man, why don't you just look for all those people, uh, online, you know, why bother trying to like find them, you know, through phone calls and stuff like that.

And he said, like, how are we going to do that?

And I said, well, there's this new thing coming up called my space.

And a lot of people are kind of trying to be famous on it.

And I think we could kind of tag into that and build it up.

So we ended up building Gotcast to do casting for television as one of the many companies we were kind of incubating and spinning out.

While we were doing that, I had the next idea for the next company was a company called affordit.com.

And affordit allowed you to buy stuff using weekly payments.
