Yeah, they did.
And it was a great company.
We launched with them.
I mean, so we're definitely familiar with the product.
Our pitch was the same for every single one of those founders.
What we're going to build collectively has more total addressable market than what you could ever do individually.
Talking to Jameson, the founder of LaunchRock, I said, Jameson, no matter how many sites you launch off of LaunchRock, you'll never be more than a company that just launches websites.
We want to be a company that launches startups, launches the entire company, carries through them with that entire journey to the extent that we can.
Tying all those boats together has a much greater TAM, more LTV, etc.,
And that also proved to be true by the way, but we can also charge more for it.
I mean, everything is better if we start to tie these things together, if we do it in a smart, deliberate way.
And that was, that was really impetus.
I would love to say it was consistent, but in some of those deals, we paid all cash.
In some of those deals, we did a hybrid.
I would say this.
When you're paying cash, you feel so beat up because it's hitting your cash position.
You feel like, man, if I could just pay some equity, it would just really settle some of the bruising right now.
But there is something wonderful about paying cash and knowing that you didn't have any residual to it.
I can't go into all the details, which companies take the cash versus stock, but a couple of them we paid all cash for.
And while it hurt us at the time, looking back, I'm so glad I did it because you also don't want to be making essentially rent payments back to some company that you bought five years ago and be making those payments for the rest of your life.
