Yeah, it turns out they really were.

They put the foot down and did not let up for the whole 80 minutes.

They really wanted this one.

I thought Billy Vinopola was excellent.

He was a real throwback to what he was like in his pomp with Saracens.

Ulster actually got a similar start to Leinster.

They got an early try.

They looked like, you know, they were in the ascendancy and then Montpellier hit back right away.

And after that, it was one-way traffic.

But a lovely Cormac Uzusuku burst for a score to make it a close game in the first half.

But then Montpellier never looked back, really.

And what were your takeaways from Friday night, Cian?

Yeah, really tough for them.

They played such good rugby at various stages of the season, but since I think it was the 3rd of January when they gave Munster a good beating up in Belfast, since then their season significantly tailed off results-wise.

There was a couple of performances in there that were pretty good.

Even the Stormers in Glasgow, they played some great stuff in those two games, but only got one draw and a couple of losing bonus points to show for it.

Yeah, Montpellier though were very impressive.

I can't wait to see what they do in the top 14 playoffs because like you, the Connacht game was kind of my only real time watching them this season and it was their maul that day that really destroyed Connacht.

They were pretty good generally whereas on Friday it was everything that was good.
