I seem to put humor in everything I do, even the straight-ahead dramas. It's the Mike Nichols rule. If you want people to cry, tell a joke first. And if you want people to laugh, do something sad. It's the whipsawing our emotions. I like comedies. I think we need to laugh these days. But really, I like it all.
