And there's a question of how in the world do I protect my practice?
Like, what are the moves?
How do I do this?
So I need to start some foundation.
Like, foundations become captured by who knows what.
And so you can make an A Corp that just continues to hold your legacy, that has the
same board of directors you had when you were running it that follows the same bylaws that you made that operates as a commercial entity that's also preserving and protecting your work.
So it gives you a sense of control and just allows you to, yeah, continue to shape and protect your practice.
In the design of it, in the design of the structure, because that had come up in multiple interviews, we designed basically a checkbox to say, this should be used to manage the estate.
This should take care of this in the event of someone's death, as an example.
I mean, my dream is that I think some people in existing LLCs, S-Corps, nonprofits will switch over to being an A-Corp.
You can switch over your organization.
In Colorado, we've made it so you can move over.
But I think that will be slow.
I think it's going to be more new organizations being made will be A-Corps in the coming years.
In the first year, I would like for us to be able to provide better health care.
If we can get better health care within a year, the first ACORP law being passed in Colorado, I think that's a great model that we can keep building on.
