I felt very warmly and really enjoyed the descriptions of Sydney and walking down toward Circular Quay.
All the descriptions of Sydney I thought were very nice.
I think that as well as being very ambitious, he does actually want to feel like part of the society.
He really wants to assimilate in Sydney life.
So he says, I want to find a good Australian girl, a healthy, I think he says, a healthy Australian girl.
And so when he ends up meeting Faye at one of Magda's parties, they really hit it off.
And I think it's interesting the comparison between Faye
Rudy and Faye and Madeleine's parents, Sylvette and Ted, because they met and Sylvette had come from Paris.
And so there's a few parallels there.
So I wondered whether Madeleine was inspired by her parents when she was writing about Rudy and Faye.
But I think that for Faye, Rudy... I think that Faye had dated a whole bunch of dropkicks over the years and she just really wanted someone who would treat her as...
and equal, and he introduced her to all sorts of things, took her to the art gallery and introduced her to all these cultural activities.
And I think this is one of the many ways that Madeleine St.
John thoughtfully writes about migration and how much of a celebration it was for all these European people to come to Australia and share their culture.
I loved the book as well.
I thought it was really wonderful.
And I loved how she introduced all the characters at the beginning because you really got to know them.
And I felt so warmly towards them.
And I thought they were all very likable characters, especially Magda.
