I actually like, I like Traris, um, like Sonny gray and like Rangers bars.
Like there's some good players that they added there.
Um, yeah, losing Bregman is painful and I get that, but I still think they should be a competitive club and, and you know, whether they add more now or take a look in the, in during the season to see kind of where the, where the holes are, where the needs are.
I think they're one of those teams that's positioned to do that.
Yeah, you don't want to feel a little desperate, right?
Like, I feel like the year I was with the Mets, there was that feeling within the organization.
I don't think it positioned us particularly well to act on that perception.
So, you know, I totally agree with what he's saying.
Like, that's the reality of it.
You're going to pay bad prices.
But there are opportunities to do some smaller things that aren't going to get people excited.
And I think that's the difference.
You've got to focus on what kind of incrementally improves your team or protects you from, you know, having black holes in your lineup or in your rotation or whatever it may be, your bullpen.
So you don't even have to be, like, impactful gains.
It's just…
raising the floor on that roster sometimes, that can come at a much more reasonable cost.
And yeah, that's not going to get anyone excited about it, but it still is addressing some of the issues that you may have that may position you better.
Because ultimately, when you win, it's because of your core of your best players.
And if they're not performing, then it's really hard to win.
And if they're not around, it's really hard to replace them.
