So I do get some chips and a little bit of egg fried rice as well, which probably explains why my face is looking a little bit fatter than it probably was a couple of months ago.

This is when I really start to know that Christmas is on the horizon. It's when I start thinking about what Villa's bench is going to look like for a football match in December. And I imagine with the absentees Villa have in their squad, not necessarily too many affecting the first team, but squad-wise tomorrow, I mean, Hercules could be on the bench with the two goalkeepers. We've suddenly just amassed a lot of absent players.

But I guess the good news is, from a Villa perspective, is that apart from Pau Torres, none of the absolute shoe-in first 11s are being affected so much. It's the kind of the squad players who are kind of dropping a little bit, which... which is a concern because Villa have done well with their substitutions in recent weeks. And when you haven't got game changers and finishers on the bench that can alter the flow of a game, that is a problem.
Yeah, Sancho, of course, misses out because it's against his parent club. I've got to admit, I completely forgot that that was a thing until today when I read Unai Emery's press conference notes. Harvey Elliott's ill. I mean, I can imagine it would probably have been three goalkeepers on the bench instead of Harvey Elliott at this point had he been fit to And then the news that we've had this evening is that Gasson is going off to AFCON, which he was a standby option, but they've had an injury. So Gasson is now away for a month or so, or for however long his country stays in the competition for. So he won't be available this weekend either.
