Hey friends! Todays episode is gonna be for anyone who’s experiencing heightened anxiety and/or panic attacks! Deep breaths 5,4,3,2,1 method 5: Acknowledge FIVE things you see around you. It could be a pen, a spot on the ceiling, anything in your surroundings. 4: Acknowledge FOUR things you can touch around you. It could be your hair, a pillow, or the ground under your feet, a pet 3: Acknowledge THREE things you hear. This could be any external sound. Focus on things you can hear outside of your body. Cars driving by, music playing, people talking, a clock ticking 2: Acknowledge TWO things you can smell. If you need to take a brief walk to find a scent you could smell soap in your bathroom, or nature outside. 1: Acknowledge ONE thing you can taste. What does the inside of your mouth taste like—gum, coffee, or the sandwich from lunch? If you can’t really taste anything, that’s okay! Imagine you’re eating your favorite ice cream or candy Affirmations * “I am safe and in control.” * “I have done this before, and I can do it again.” * “I am strong.” * “I take things one step at a time.” * “I inhale peace and exhale worry.” * “This feeling is only temporary.” If your anxiety is coming from a fear around a hypothetical situation that hasn’t even happened yet, then I invite you to imagine 2 scenarios: the best case scenario, and the worst case scenario, then decide upon 1 small step you can take in order to manifest your best case! You could also try Thinking about what caused you to feel this way, and decide upon 1 tiny small step that you can take to try and better equip yourself for next time!
