214. What the NFL Taught Me About Becoming An ENT with Dr. Samkon Gado

Team, I am thrilled to be able to introduce to you Dr. Samkon Gado! Join us as Dr. Gado talks about his journey, from his native roots in Nigeria to coming to the U.S., rooting himself in the Country and then pursuing an NFL career, a medical degree, and ultimately landing a career as an ENT. Dr. Gado shares not only his path, but how his sports and NFL career fed into his medical profession and how the lessons learned from the field translate into a medical practice. We talk about which is harder (you have to listen to found out what I mean), and how life is more than the football field and a career, as Dr. Gado also shares what he is doing outside of both with a very important organization that he is part of – The Jonah Inheritance. The Jonah Inheritance partners with Nigerian physicians, creating a system and an infrastructure for them to apply their skills in their trade by providing the facilities, space, system for them to take care of patients.
