ADHD, stress management, and college.

I want to talk about something that is near and dear to me and that is how ADHD impacts my schoolwork. No this is not an episode about distraction or paying attention. In this episode, I will discuss how my challenges with reading quickly have impacted my ability to turn in assignments on time. I know some listeners are saying okay, then turn it in. For many, this will always be the logical decision but for some of us, it will not. Instead, we allow the anxiety and the stress of receiving a bad grade or negative feedback to interfere with us turning in our arduous work. How many of you have been there? Well, if this sounds like you, let me offer you motivation and words of wisdom to respond to these feelings as I have experienced from time to time. Thankfully, that is less of a reaction these days.
