ADHD is not just a disorder that hinders you from remembering or finishing things. Other factors that affect ADHD are our emotional state and awareness of how we are TRULY and HONESTLY feeling. It is one thing to say "I'm pissed" or "I'm just feeling really down". It's another thing to reflect on these feelings at the moment and understand the cause. We often focus on moving past our feelings in order to "Crush" the rest of the day only to feel the same way later about those same things. We all have done it and will continue to do it, but by practicing self-awareness and self-regulation we can begin to understand the triggers and roadblocks that impact us so much. Try this exercise and stay tuned for some practices we can apply to address these.
