August certainly feels like it could be a decisive month in terms of determining how successful we'll look back at Vancouver Whitecaps' 2018 season. It's started well. The 'Caps fielded an understrength side and took a point at New York City. Normally that would be considered a great result, and while good, it only saw them slip further behind in the chase for the playoffs. We look back at the match, hear from both head coaches, and delve into some individual player performances. We also look ahead to the first leg of the Canadian Championship final against Toronto FC on Wednesday, and hear some of the thoughts of Greg Vanney about how TFC will be approaching it. All this, plus does Kei Kamara fancy a chocolate digestive, what ice cream excites goalscorer Erik Hurtado, and we look at the weekend's action in the MLS West and The Last Resort feature in this week's Wavelength.
