Welcome, everybody. It's the Luddites. Me, George Butler, and the AI expert, James Chandler, covering the wild world of AI. On the way news, one of your list of questions, and James' big thing. Firstly, quick, catch up on our last few interviews. Yeah. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am loving exploring all these different themes and viewpoints on the world of AI. The environmental one that we had with Benjamin. So many questions about almonds. Same, a few weeks ago. I mean, that was, if you didn't listen, Benjamin Sabell is an expert in AI and the environment. He was an absolutely fascinating listener. He's a good guest, isn't he? He was quite punchy about the fact that AI actually isn't quite as bad for the environment as a lot of people are making out.
One of the videos on TikTok went absolutely crazy and some interesting comments. Was there? Some very interesting comments. Pro or anti sort of environmental stuff. It was kind of all over the place. I mean, some people made the point about the fact that, you know, you have to eat. So, you know, you can't compare foods to text.
You don't have to eat red meat, though.
Well, you don't have to eat almonds either. So, yeah, worth a catch up on that. It was a really good one, that, wasn't it?
Yeah, he was superb. So poised and polished as a guest as well. A lot of those things, like, you know, trying to sort of get your head round, oh, it's this and this and this, are quite difficult. Yeah, I thought he was superb. And then you went solo. Had a lovely chat without me. As is, yeah. Talking to Abby. That was great. That was all about, again, she's worked at some amazing companies and sort of seen under the hood of what's going on in AI and I guess is probably more aligned with you on the spectrum. She's pretty nervous about it. She is calling for to balance lots of the imbalances in it. And more to come.
More brilliant guests to come. I'm excited for the guests to come on Monday. Babbit. Babbit. Yeah, he's good. 20 plus years at Microsoft. Big deal there. And now is looking at what AI means for young people and kind of dealing with the threats, the concerns, the issues that young people have. So really looking forward to kind of picking his brains about what parents, you know, the attitudes parents should be having and also where young people... kind of need to be looking at what they need to be studying and learning to help them advance in this space. That's coming in Monday.
