Smart move really - when your competitor goes commodity, you go premium. Meta's adding AI assistants to Facebook Dating whilst a quarter of young adults are apparently getting their romantic needs met by chatbots. It's simultaneously fascinating and slightly concerning. We're optimising for engagement, not actual human connection. But that's the world we're building, isn't it?
