The benchmarks are genuinely impressive, and I've had a proper go with it. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't suffer fools. Unlike some models that'll agree with your terrible ideas just to be agreeable, Sonnet 4.5 will actually tell you when you're being thick. It's discerning, intelligent about its criticism, and frankly that's the kind of AI I want to work with. Though I suspect people who prefer the more sycophantic models will absolutely hate it. The other big news came from Lovable, who've essentially eliminated the two biggest barriers to no-code development. They've built backend infrastructure natively into the platform—no more mucking about with Supabase accounts and API keys—and they've integrated AI capabilities directly as well. This is massive for anyone who bounced off vibe coding before because of the technical friction. Between the new Sonnet model and Lovable's updates, if you've been putting off trying to build something, now's genuinely the time.
