In this episode, I'll talk to you all about cognitive distortions, or thought traps/tricks that your mind is playing on you. The good news? We all do it! The bad news..? We all do it. You'll learn why our brains play these games on us in the first place, examples of cognitive distortions, why they're so dysfunctional for you, and what you can do instead to start challenging these thoughts. By the end of this podcast, you'll know how to come back to reality - fast, and you'll be better able to monitor your thoughts so you can start to nip them in the bud sooner rather than later. This episode is part 1 of a 2 part series. Episode 6, part 1 covers 5 of the most common cognitive distortions. Part 2 will cover an additional 5 commonly experienced cognitive distortions - so stay tuned and come back for part 2!
