Ana Ivanović, voormalig nummer één van de wereld in het vrouwentennis, was op woensdag bij het ABN AMRO Open te vinden. In Rotterdam liep ze als ambassadrice van de Chinese wit- en bruingoed fabrikant Haier een dag rond. Waar ze zelf gezien de ATP-status van het toernooi nooit in Rotterdam gespeeld heeft, is Nederland wel een plek waar ze goede herinneringen aan heeft. Sterker nog, met veel trainen in Amsterdam legde ze de basis voor haar enige grandslamtitel in 2008. We spraken met Ana over het ABN AMRO Open en haar band met Nederland. Ana Ivanović, former world number one in women's tennis, was at the ABN AMRO Open on Wednesday. She spent a day in Rotterdam as ambassador of the Chinese household appliances manufacturer Haier. While she herself has never played in Rotterdam due to the tournament's being an ATP tournament, the Netherlands is a place she has fond memories of. In fact, her extensive training in Amsterdam laid the foundation for her only Grand Slam title in 2008. We spoke with Ana about the ABN AMRO Open and her connection to the Netherlands.
