Welcome to Ambridge on the Couch, an in-depth look at the archers with me, Geoff Thomas, Lucy Freeman, James Everett and Matt Rodriguez-Payne. Now, before we make a start on your emails, let's have a recap of what happened this week in Ambridge.

We began the week at the Flower and Produce show with Usha reproducing the papal conclave in radishes and Clary doing coffee and walnut. I presume they both weren't for the same category. although many popes have looked like walnuts, to be fair. Keira made apple and cider, summing her other. Cider smells like wee, so whatever she made would have smelled like a park bench on a summer evening. Harassment and Lily's avoiding each other went splendidly, bumping into each other two minutes after the end of the last episode in which they declared how they weren't going to bump into each

Then he said he felt as if she'd been avoiding him when that had been the entire plan. Lily then turned up at the ball, knowing full well that Harassment lived there, and bumped into him. while he was sampling a pint of watery sun cream. It did the trick and they both went back to hers with a chair each. Lily asked him if he'd like to stay for a bit. He said yes, he'd love a bit. He hadn't had any for yonks. So then they had a bit and we very nearly heard it. Tony and Leonard were doing the repair shop and someone from it was at the show. Oh, hurrah. I had no idea who he was, but Robert was falling over himself, so that was nice. Tony gave him John's toy tractor, which in retrospect seems slightly ghoulish as he was squished by one, like giving Rob Tichner a knife block for Christmas.

Incidentally, I've been to loads of these things and at none of them, absolutely none, was there ever a special guest or a famous person off of the telly. People have been jettisoning the Snells B&B ostensibly because of Diane and her stinky reviews. So I immediately began time travelling and I'm trying to work out who will buy it next. Amber and George. Usher and Alan. Nope, stomped until it dawned. Harrisment and Lily. Everyone seemed to be up early on Tuesday. The push-pull Anna Carol dynamic continued on its merry way with Carol ringing Anna at the crack of dawn to tell her that she had a baby bat in her arms and she was going to wait for the vet to open and then ring them. Perfectly reasonable. Anna, rather than saying jolly good and I hope it stays fine for you, leapt out of bed and went hurtling over there, let the bat go and caused a massive hoo-ha.

This culminated in Carol telling Anna to go and not to come back. We then had breakfast with Alan and Usha with a slightly odd script that resulted in me thinking that Usha's pet name for Alan was Armand Croissant.

was interrupted by Anna ringing him and as Carol had stopped answering the phone to her, Anna then had to backtrack on her practically accusing Alan of fraud to rope him into being a care worker for the elderly. He wasn't a very good care worker for the elderly as he lost the elderly and then found her being suitably melodramatic lying in the graveyard. She probably had a sheaf of lilies in her hand. Alan kept calling her love. If I was Carol, I'd have whopped him over the head with the lilies. Sadly, she was alive. We can tell that by the fact that she was being extremely rude and annoying. She made things worse by deciding that she wanted to live and be resuscitated should anyone attempt to throttle her in her sleep.

Like me, for instance. Khalil played Scrabble with Linda and Robert and Khalil played the word Monty, which is a noun and wouldn't be allowed anyway. And of all the letters he could have, he had those. Of course he did. Of course he did. Tosh, yes. Things went a bit bums up, Shay Fallon, as after a series of weird cliches along the lines of not making any rash decisions one day at a time, let the dust settle, et cetera, harassment collapsed under interrogation and admitted he was seeing Lily.
