It is Monday, June 22nd, and a family in Mississippi is demanding that police release body cam video because they think it might help answer a question about why an officer fired into a moving car, killing a one-year-old. this was and it and then when you hear what it was over it makes it in some way worse oh my god when you actually get into the details of what we know happened it is sickening i was reading it and every detail just made me feel worse and worse because yes this all took place earlier this month on June 14th, and it all happened or unfolded in a Walmart parking lot. This is in Senatopia, Mississippi.
It's about an hour drive south of Memphis.
Oh, okay. Yes, so you know the area fairly well. And so police got a shoplifting call, and they responded to the scene. And what was reported having been stolen?
Diapers. Diapers. is the report. So the story and what we're talking about here is a one-year-old child is dead after a shoplifting call about diapers. and we get into the details here robes um it is a they said they said right there are two different sides of this story and about what was a threat and what the officer should and shouldn't have been able to do but um but the family is now demanding that the city release the body cam video which they have not yet this uh june 14th is when this incident took place In Robes, the call comes in, and we can tell you what at least authorities say took place once they arrived in Robes. I mean, I don't know. It seems like they felt like they encountered people who were fleeing in some way.
