Yeah, so you and I watched Dr. Koenig get on the stand in his own defense, which was fairly remarkable, as you pointed out, because, yes, his, I guess, now ex-wife or soon-to-be ex-wife took the stand and said and testified a very compelling version of what had happened to her with all of the visuals, all of the doctors, all of the medical reports backing up what she was saying, what she experienced. His own son describing a FaceTime conversation where he claims that his own father admitted right there to him that, yes, he tried to kill his stepmom because she had cheated on him. That's what this whole case was centered around. But to see Dr. Koenig testify... An emotional affair, we should say.
You know what? Thank you for pointing that out. We should say. Because... By all accounts, she admitted to having an emotional affair. And I think it was fairly proven in court that they never physically met this colleague of hers. They were never actually in the same place physically together. So this was clearly just something that was going on online.
And it was something that apparently this Dr. Gerhardt was obsessed with. He was so upset about it. This is what came out during the case. But, Robes, as we listen to the details and we listen to all of his testimony on the stand, his cross-examination and trying to explain how this happened, Robes, it was so far-fetched. You know I'm not a circumstantial evidence kind of guy, right? This was one of those he said, she saids where the she survived. The she actually could tell the story of what happened. And when she got to speak, Robes, it was almost, I'm sorry, laughable that he was trying to suggest this woman attacked him.
