Hey there, folks. It is Tuesday, July 28th. He is serving four life sentences for the Idaho student murders. But now he says he is innocent and he wants a trial. And with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ Robes. This was a shocker that kind of goes along with the shocker he gave us when he pled guilty in the first place.

What is going on with Brian Koberger?
It's very confusing because if you'll remember upon his arrest, he was vehemently denying having anything to do with these murders. His court appointed attorneys were mounting a defense and he had said from the beginning, I am innocent. I did not do this. And then all of a sudden. And it took everyone's breath away. Everyone was shocked when he pleaded guilty. Within, I believe, two weeks of the trial. So nobody was expecting him to suddenly plead guilty. But frankly, the victim's families who had been through hell and back were grateful that they were being spared a trial. And that was one silver lining. They had their sentencing day where they gave their victim impact statements. They told him what they thought of him and they were able, they thought, to put this to rest.
Now, obviously there are appeals and things that happen throughout the years, but this was a moment where they felt like, okay, justice has been served. I can actually now start healing, look for peace, and now this shocker.
