Shane. Okay, today we are going to get into a case that is going to go to trial soon. So I'm glad that we're doing an episode on it because I feel like once it goes to trial, we're gonna follow it. Um, it is the case of Kelsey Coty. So on Halloween night of 2022, 74-year-old Doris Coty was found dead at the bottom of her basement stairs in North Adams, Massachusetts. What looked like a Tragic accident quickly unraveled into something much darker. Prosecutors say the murder was not impulsive. They allege it was planned, motivated by money, and followed by a deliberate attempt to cover it up. Kevin Reddington, one of Massachusetts' most prominent defense attorneys, is representing Kelsey, and after four years, the trial is finally going to make headway.

In February of twenty twenty two, Ray Cody, this is Doris's husband, passed away, leaving Doris living alone. Then we get to the summer of 2022. Kelsey Cody is Doris's granddaughter, and she returns to the area from Connecticut.
