But when you start to hear about what happened, how it happened, it is unfortunately a common tale. Just because you're an actor, just because you're in Hollywood, you're still suffering, I guess, from the same human flaws that have certainly taken down so many others.
We've seen this story before. We've heard this story before. It's just that the ending was a little different, and she didn't die.

This is one of those stories where there is a record of... abuse in a relationship, and it gets to a point. And it got to that point, and she came within, I shouldn't say within an inch of her life, there was some testimony, or at least the judge was talking about, she technically died twice. Twice. During this attack. So this one is a miracle. She's still around. We have to pay attention to these stories that keep popping up. Didn't we just cover one, the death row inmate in Florida?

Told her he was going to come back and kill her.
And still the police didn't stop him and he killed her. Kind of a thing, right? It's just, we see this happen too much and this is one that did have an ending that didn't end in death, but it's horrific what happened to her.
Yeah, and I'm so glad you point that out because these are the types of stories that need to be told, that need to... people need to be reminded of, because historically speaking, law enforcement simply has not done enough to protect women who are saying, I'm in danger, I'm in threat, I have been threatened, and here's the person who's doing it. Domestic violence situations are some of the most dangerous calls that a police officer can go on for obvious reasons, and it's obviously one of the most dangerous situations a woman can face, especially, you've said this plenty of times, when is the most dangerous time for a woman
