Actually, I remember back in the day, did you ever have to do this where you ran your own teleprompter using a foot pedal?
I didn't have to, but I'm very aware.
I did. And I actually used to run prompters sometimes up in the booth for the anchors when I was a cub reporter. They needed all hands on deck. So yes, I actually have done a full newscast operating the prompter for the anchors, and it is unbelievably stressful.
You know what? You just remind me of something. I had the option. What did I do?
