Any Given Runday

#19 - Odhran Murphy and #MarathonInTheEstate

29 Apr 2020

Description

Very special episode of the Any Given Runday Podcast as Eric interviews one of his inspirations, Odhran Murphy (@murphyodhran on Instagram), as Odhran discusses how he came up with the idea to run a 'Marathon in the Estate' (129 laps of his estate btw!!).In this episode he also talks about why he has chosen Childline (@ispcc_childline) to raise funds, his training, flying upside down with Eric, the three-week marathon plan and what had him up at night carefully listening to every word Ryan Tubridy said on the Late Late Show and much more. From @murphyodhran Instagram page:  "I've decided to run a marathon - around the green at the front of the estate here in Ard na gCuan - in 3 weeks time, on Sunday 3rd May. 26.2 miles = 129 laps of the green! I'm going to use the opportunity to raise funds for @ispcc_childline - one of Ireland's essential charities, whose workload is hugely increased at this time. Unfortunately, home isn't a safe place for every child in this country.I know lots of people are out of work, or have had huge pay cuts etc, so obviously, there's absolutely no pressure on anybody at all to donate anything. But if you can, maybe share the link in a WhatsApp group, or share this post with your friends. Any and all help would be much appreciated."We know you're going to love this episode. Be sure to help Odhran out and go to his Go Fund Me page below to donate:www.gofundme.com/f/marathon-in-the-estateAnd best of luck this Sunday, Odhran! You can now get 20% off all Perform Nutrition products, including their new Electrolytes+, using the code 'AGR' at checkoutPerformNutrition.com
