Hey there, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes here from the Amy and TJ Podcast, where we are doing the exact opposite of taking a summer vacation.
Yeah, can't do that. There's entirely too much going on in the world right now to not be talking about all this stuff.
Yes, drama at the White House, drama at the World Cup, drama about the reflecting pool, and yes, drama at the villa pool on Love Island. All day, every day, we have you covered with the latest breaking news and the stories everyone will be talking about. Listen to Amy and TJ on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Can superstars even exist the way they used to? 2016 was sort of that last era of monoculture where we still consumed things in community. Everybody wanted to be Beyonce at that point. I don't think we'll ever see another Rihanna. What does it mean to be Black and eat in America? You will never make me feel bad for being a Black girl, for being a Black American girl, ever. From music to food to the conversations shaping Black culture right now, Therapy for Black Girls is bringing it all to the mic. Listen to Therapy for Black Girls on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Bill, why is my eye twitching? Does this mean I'm in perimenopause? Where's my phone?
Juliana, maybe we can ask an actual human.
Yes, because I have questions, and I bet you do too. Like, is it normal to sleep in separate bedrooms? We do that, and I still need to know why my poop's been green.
We've got actual people answering these exact questions. Listen to Bill and Juliana.

Hi, I'm Kristen Davis, and I want to know, are you a Charlotte fan? Okay, so we have the fantastic Jason Lewis here with us. Listen, you have so much weird and interesting stuff going on that I don't even really know where to begin. Normally, where I would begin was going back in time, but I want to do that in a minute because right now, first of all, have you moved to Costa Rica 100%?
More or less. I'm not like a citizen there, but it's definitely where I'm hanging my hat.
Do you have a place here? No. Wow.
Okay, so yes.
Amazing. And when did that happen?
About three years ago.
Wow. So was that COVID or just after COVID?
No, it was after COVID. I just, I sat down at one point and I wanted, I did a life by design. I started listing what did I want life to look like? Top of list is, I used to be able to speak a pretty decent French and Italian, but nobody uses that in the States. And so I just started learning Spanish and I want to learn Spanish and I wanted to be where the water is warm. I could be healthy. Food's amazing. And I want to write a book.
So you already had the desire to write a book before you moved there.
I started outlining the series of novels in September before COVID. So for me, COVID was an obsessive figuring out the arc of nine different books. Like I had post-it notes on the ceiling and stuff.
Okay. So, so back up a bit, back up a bit. Had you ever written before?
Yes, I've written for years.
Okay, like just for yourself or for... Well, my inner critic never really let me share.
There's an iron glass. He talked about the idea of, you know, we get into creative pursuits because of our taste, but it's a long journey and every artist should know that from... where you enter through your taste and being able to execute on them.
That makes sense. Yeah.
And so I never really wrote anything that I felt had, you know, I could tell the difference between reading something that was excellent in my story.
