This is episode 1091 of the Arete Coach Podcast with host Severin Sorensen and guest coach Ben Griffin from Baltimore, MD, who now lives in Florida. Ben is an executive coach, board advisor, and Founder and President of CEOIQ.  Prior to entering the coaching business, Ben was an entrepreneur and an executive in multiple commercial insurance industry and IT service businesses. He started coaching first as a TEC Chair and later went on to found his current coaching business: CEOIQ. Ben earned his MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. In the interview, we explore Ben's life journey into coaching, his hard lessons learned in business, and the lifelong learnings that have brought him to be one of the great coaches of our day. We explored topics of managing the business during inflationary times, the risk of unbridled corporate growth, KPIs to manage your business, the unintended consequence of words, and many other issues relevant to business owners and coaches. When not coaching, Ben is an avid photographer and has traveled the world seeking that 'perfect' shot, and he describes the work of his new book (in writing) looking through the 'leadership lens.'
