Episode 107 - Gita - Chapter 12 verses #1 and #2

E107 - In these verses, Krishna answers Ajuna's questions about whether he should worship the various forms of God that we are presented with or should he worship a formless God. The concept of a formless God is difficult for most and without a form to focus on it is easy to be distracted from your devotion.  A formless God does not engage our senses, it in fact is our senses. It does not engage our intellect, it is in fact our intellect. Without engagement, both will tend to wander until we acquire more Knowledge and devote ourselves to it. The doctor tells us that while the cells of our body are devoted to their tasks and purpose they are unaware that they are a part of our body as a whole, as is everything around them. It would take some time and effort for them to understand their part in the grander concept of the whole. So we should allow ourselves the time and devotion of thought to understand what Brahman is and why it is us too, and everything else.
