at about n yeah, left Chicago at seven PM, landed at Nine AM. UK, which of course for me was kind of three AM US time. And then I went directly from the airport. straight to a full day's rehearsal um for an acting job I'm on at the moment. So Oh my God. Yeah. I've be I've been awake the best part of I don't know, thirty six, four eight hours. A long
a long time.

See when you said Yesterday when we uh experienced the the Wi Fi issues and stuff and you go can we record in the evening? I was thinking Yeah, that's fine because obviously he's gonna come home. He's gonna sleep all day. Gonna have a bit of sleep, you know, catch up with the family, spend a bit of quality time with them and then, you know, just be ready for the podcast. I didn't realise that you were you were pushing the whole way through, holy crap. Yeah. It's
been a mad few. Uh months actually. Yeah. And and I I'm back in my flat now and I think it's the first night I've spent here since the day after the Champions League final. The parade. Wow. Stayed here for that. Um And then yeah, not been here since, so It's very very very nice, but also slightly odd being home.
Well, tell me just a little bit before we crack on with all the stuff that's been going on, tell tell me about the experience and the show and Chicago. It was uh it was a fun, different summer, I
guess. It was great, yeah. I I really enjoyed it. I've got to say huge credit to Camille, my wife, because when they originally said to me, um Can you go to Chicago for two months to make a television programme? I immediately said, no, I can't do that because I have a wife and a child who um I cannot leave in the lurch. But actually Camille kind of talked me into doing it. I mean, she must be sick of having me around the house. I think that's the only possible conclusion. Yeah. Um But yeah, she was like, Sounds like an interesting opportunity and we'll come out for a few weeks and we'll make it work. So I did it and it was great. I really enjoyed Chicago. Great city, very friendly people, you know, Midwesterners I gather are known for their friendliness.
Um Have you I can't remember have you you've no have you been to Chicago? No, I've never been. I've never been you'd really like it. Yeah. It's it's got a great food culture. It's I like food. Yeah, it's it's it's a very cool place. Brilliant music scene. I think house music originated in Chicago.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's there's a a long history of that for sure. Yeah.
Yeah. And like obviously big blues and jazz culture and yeah, it was just um Really, really cool place. And uh I enjoyed doing the TV show as well. Like I I've always sort of been a bit wary of doing football TV, football presenting. But um yeah, I found it good fun in the end actually and that's good. Nice people.
