The event will be chaired by Marc Porter, Chairman of Christie’s Americas. This conversation with Randall Bourscheidt explores some of the themes of Geldzahler's life: His role at the Metropolitan Museum during the height of New York's art market ferment; Geldzahler's friendships with Andy Warhol and David Hockney; his experiences as New York City's Cultural Commissioner; his eventual retreat to the Hamptons and his early death from liver cancer.
