In this podcast, Dr. Kelly Tappenden interviews Dr. Liam McKeever, ASPEN Clinical Guideline Director and Editor-in-Chief, discussing the new publication “Guidelines for the provision of nutrition support therapy in the adult critically ill patient: The American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition”. Dr. McKeever describes the background and methodology of the guideline and elaborates on the clinical recommendations for the 5 questions related to providing nutrition support in the adult critical care patients addressed in this guideline. Plans for a sister paper that will address questions not addressed in this updated guideline is also discussed.
