This is includes difference in jargon, slang terms, expressions, and other stuff.One interesting example here is the use of ‘sir’. In the American culture, when you’re a police officer, or a person of authority, and you are to address a local citizen, you’d notice the use of sir/ma’am back and forth. Whereas here in Australia, you’ll hear both parties call each other ‘mate’.
