Matt is joined by Frank as they unpack the Draft Feral Goat Abatement Plan, which is currently seeking feedback from the public and builds upon the existing plan. The consultation period ends on the 7th of February, 2024. There is limited use of hunters in this plan once again and a substantial focus on the use of poisons. There is a lot missing in the plan such as economic benefits, meat use, research gaps, value of goat meat industry if poison is used, secondary poisoning to native animals, and much more.
